Mart Stam Cantilever Armchair - SOLD

We have a beautiful pair of vintage Mart Stam cantilever armchairs that we are selling individually.  The polished tubular steel chair frames have a caramel-colored leather seat and back with padded arms.  The leather was replaced 2 years ago.   It is the same color as the original leather.  The frames are in great condition, with some areas of patina.  Each chair measures: 24"W x 24"D x 31 1/2"H. Mart Stam was a famous Dutch architect, urban planner, and furniture designer.  His  steel-tubing chair designs were extremely popular, and they influenced new designs by Mies Van der Rohe, Eileen Gray, and Marcel Breuer.  This Cantilever Armchair design was introduced in 1926.

Commissioned Kent Coffey Highboy - SOLD

This Kent Coffey Perspecta highboy is our latest commission.  Phil and I love the Perspecta line.  A Blue Lamb client purchased this piece, and asked us to redesign and refinish it.  We have been very pleased with the white, wood, gray combo, so we painted the top drawer fronts Benjamin Moore's Chelsea Gray, and the outer "wrap" White Dove.   We also refinished the bottom drawer fronts and pulls.

Striped J.B.Van Scriver Dining Table - SOLD

This beautiful vintage dining table was manufactured mid-century by the J.B.Van Scriver Furniture Company.  We refinished the top surface with a white painted stripe pattern over stained wood.  For added durability, we applied multiple coats of clear polyurethane over the stripe pattern.  We also restored the tapered wooden legs.  This table measures: 38"W x 38"D x 29 1/2"H.  It seats 4 comfortably.  We are also selling the chairs with the blue upholstered seats (separately as a set of 6).
Please let us know if you are interested in them as well.  The table and 2 of the chairs can be seen in person at our showroom at the beautifully renovated Barn at Todd Farm in Rowley, MA (275 Main St./Rt 1A).  The Barn at Todd Farm is open Wednesday thru Saturday 10:30AM - 5PM, and Sunday 9AM - 4PM.

Striped Thayer Coggin Coffee Table - SOLD

This low-profile vintage coffee table is stamped Thayer Coggin.  We suspect it was designed in the 1960s by Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin.  Baughman was a pioneer in modern design.  He was one of the leading modern furniture designers of the second half of the 20th century.  From 1953 to 2003, Thayer Coggin and Milo Baughman collaborated on designs and production techniques that came to define the mid-century modern era of American residential furniture.  This was a true rehab project. We fully refinished the table and then introducing the white painted stripe pattern over the stained wood.  For added durability, we applied multiple coats of clear polyurethane over the stripe pattern.  This table measures: 30" W x 30"D x 15"H.

This handsome console table was manufactured mid-century.  We love the clever design of the legs, the simplicity of its lines, and the quality of its build.  The new finish on this piece is multiple coats of Benjamin Moore Advance semi-gloss paint over primer.  The table has a removable smoked glass insert on the top that is in excellent condition.  This table measures: 60"W x 16 1/2"D x 27 1/2"H.
