Young's Furniture MCM Highboy - SOLD

This beautiful chest of drawers was manufactured mid-century by Young's Furniture in West Lynn, Massachusetts.  Phil and I love the unique style of this piece. It is one of a kind.  The new finish is multiple coats of white and graphite Benjamin Moore Advance premium semi-gloss paint over primer.  The raised wooden drawer pulls and tapered legs have also been refinished.  The top two drawers used to have vertical sculpted details, but we removed those pieces to simplify the piece (or reduce some confusion) and to better showcase the horizontal details on the lower half.  This piece measures: 39"W x 18"D x 49 1/2"H.  It is on display in our showroom at the beautifully renovated Barn at Todd Farm in Rowley, MA (275 Main St./Rt 1A).  The Barn at Todd Farm is a multi-dealer antique, vintage, and handmade craft shop.  It is open to the public Wednesday thru Saturday 10:30AM - 5PM, and Sunday 9AM - 4PM.

Mid-Century Modern Daybed Sofa - SOLD

Our friends Jess and Andy at Modern Hub just finished professionally restoring and reupholstering this gorgeous daybed sofa.  We love the simplicity, the maturity, and the versatility of this piece.  This sofa was manufactured mid-century in the style of George Nelson or Peter Hvidt.  The wooden frame, which we suspect may be teak, is in excellent condition.  The foam in the cushions and the gray tweed linen fabric are both brand new.  The top of the built-in side table has a beautiful wood grain, and the arm of the sofa features a nice woven panel.  This piece measures: 106"W x 32"D x 27"H, with a seat height of 17".  The side table measures: 30"W x 32"D x 12"H.  If you'd like to see this piece in person, Jess and Andy can be reached directly at info@modern-hub.com.  They are based in Acton, MA.  Happy Holidays!

Striped Top Drexel Profile Desk - SOLD

This vintage desk has some very unique design elements.  It was manufactured mid-century by Drexel.  In modernizing it, we chose to keep the sculpted front legs wood.  This contrasting finish creates a beautiful frame for the painted body.  The body is painted with multiple coats of a premium semi-gloss paint over primer.  The painted gray and white stripe on the top surface nicely balances the funkiness of the flanking wooden legs.  The polished chrome drawer knobs (a Rejuvenation favorite of ours) are new.  All sides of this piece are finished, so it looks great from any angle.  This desk measures:  44"W x 21"D x 30"H.

Basic-Witz 9-Drawer Lowboy - SOLD

Now that this dresser has been redesigned and refinished, I am swooning over it.  In its original finish,  I honestly couldn't stand the thing!  I didn't know what to do with it!  Now I wish we could keep it for ourselves. ;)  This business is so interesting.  This dresser was manufactured mid-century by Basic-Witz in Waynesboro, VA.  The brass-lined handles were a signature element in the dressers produced by this company at that time.  This piece is made of solid walnut, and it has some gorgeous architectural details.  Its new finish is multiple coats of premium semi-gloss paint over primer.  We restored the insides of the drawers as well.  This dresser measures: 64"W x 18"D x 31"H.

Sleek Media Console w/ Open Shelving - SOLD

This mid-century media console is a rare find.  Phil and I have never seen one like this before.  Even after doing some research online, we still can't pin it down.  We hand-picked this piece for its beautiful architectural details, its solid build, and its versatility.  We've nicknamed the top and bottom planks "surfboards."  The surfboards have been refinished with multiple coats of a charcoal gray premium semi-gloss paint over primer.  The rest of the wooden frame has been restored.  One of the shelves slides out on a metal track.  The other two shelves are height adjustable.  This console measures: 72 1/2" W x 17"D x 33"H.  It is on display in our showroom at The Barn at Todd Farm in Rowley, MA (275 Main St. / Rt 1A).  The Barn at Todd Farm is open to the public Wednesday thru Saturday 10:30AM - 5PM, and Sunday 9AM - 4PM.

Kent Coffey Perspecta Quadruple Lowboy - SOLD

This chest of drawers was manufactured mid-century (circa 1960) in Lenoir, NC as part of the Kent Coffey Perspecta collection.  It is rare to find one of this size (12 drawers).  It is solidly built of walnut and pecan, and it has some beautiful architectural details.  The dresser has undergone a huge transformation.  It was gifted to us about a year ago by a Blue Lamb fan who knew it had potential.  When we received it, the veneer surfaces were severely damaged, the wooden sculpted drawer pulls on the left and right-hand sides of the piece needed to be reconstructed, and a number of the middle metal drawer pulls were either broken or missing.  We did our best to revive it.  After some extensive prep work, we painted the shell of the chest, the middle drawers, and the raised sculpted elements on the left and right-hand drawers.  Our painting technique involves hand-painting multiple coats of a premium semi-gloss paint over primer.  We replaced the missing metal drawer pulls, and we refinished the complete set.  This is a very versatile, statement worthy piece of furniture. It would be excellent for storage in any room.  This piece measures: 77 1/2"W x 20"D x 31"H.

Striped Storage Crate on Casters - SOLD

Phil and I just love vintage wooden storage crates.  This one did not have any printing on it when we purchased it, so we thought it would be a good candidate for some style infusion.  In an effort to clean the interior of the crate, yet preserve the cool patina, we lightly sanded it, and applied a single layer of wipe on polyurethane.  Then, we sanded, primed, and painted the exterior, and attached new chrome and rubber casters to the base. This crate is strong and sturdy, and incredibly versatile.  It is also a great length.  It measures: 31"W x 12 1/2"D x 12"H.

Charcoal Bassett 6-Drawer Lowboy - SOLD

This handsome chest of drawers was manufactured mid-century by Bassett Furniture Industries, Inc.  We love its clean lines, interesting architectural details, and solid build. We refinished this piece with two hand-painted coats of a premium semi-gloss paint, over primer.  All six drawers slide well.  They are constructed with dovetail joints.  This piece measures: 56 1/4"W x 19"D x 30"H.

Set of 4 Keller Dining Chairs - SOLD

This beautiful set of dining chairs was manufactured mid-century by the Keller Furniture company.  We refinished the chair frames, gave the seats new padding, and reupholstered the cushions with a modern cotton slub duck (linen-like) fabric.  The fabric is Scotch Guard protected.  Each chair measures: 18 1/2"W x 19"D x 38"H, with a seat height of 18".  The set is on display in our showroom at the Barn at Todd Farm in Rowley, MA (275 Main St. / Rt 1A).

Arc Floor Lamp w/ Marble Base - SOLD

This arc floor lamp is incredibly versatile, and it is really beautiful in person.  It has a very light patina on its "eyeball globe" shade, so we suspect it is vintage.  We added the foot switch for convenience.  This lamp measures: 60"W x 71"H.
