Gray MCM Dresser/Credenza - SOLD

This handsome mid-century modern chest of drawers has the simple, classic, clean lines that we love. We refinished this piece with two hand-painted coats of a Benjamin Moore premium semi-gloss paint over two coats of BIN primer.  The tapered wooden legs are also refinished.  All nine drawers slide well, and are solidly constructed with dovetail joints.  For a little extra spice, we lined the drawers with a designer wall covering featuring a geometric lace print.  The original brass drawer pulls have a beautiful natural patina.  This is a very versatile, statement worthy piece of furniture.  It would be excellent for storage in any room.  This chest of drawers measures: 60"W x 18"D x 30"H.

Customizable Full-Size Jenny Lind Bed - SOLD

Professionally refinishing spindle beds is very tedious work, but the result (and the impact that these pieces have on a room) is stunning.  We now have in our hands this lovely antique Jenny Lind bed frame.  It is solidly crafted, and was most likely manufactured in the late 1800s (prior to 1870, when box-springs were invented and bed sizes became standardized).  In the past, we have received inquiries from our clients regarding custom colors on Jenny Lind beds, so we decided to post before photos of this one to re-gauge that interest.  This particular one includes a headboard, a foot board, and two wooden size rails (which are not pictured).  The space between the side rails on this bed is not a standard width for accommodating a full/double size box spring, so we plan to build a solid platform that will rest atop the rails. This platform will eliminate the need for a box spring.  The height of the platform will be approximately 17" from the floor, which would be a comfortable height for a child.  Fully assembled, this bed frame measures: 53 1/4"W x 80"L.  The head board is 37"H.  The foot board is 35"H.  Our price for fully customizing this bed is $775, with local delivery included.  We can have this bed finished and delivered within one week of purchase.

Here are some photos of spindle beds that we have done in the past:

And in case you've ever been curious, here is a link to a little history on the real Jenny Lind, and the furniture style named after her:

Commissioned Highboy + Upholstered Twin Bed - SOLD

This lovely antique dresser and upholstered twin headboard and foot board were commissioned pieces.  We provided a paint color consultation for our client (based on the existing colors in the client's room), and we suggested this beautifully screen printed cotton slub duck fabric as replacement fabric for the bed.  Upon our client's approval of our design ideas, we refinished the wooden elements of the furnishings, and did the reupholstering.  All involved were very pleased with this transformation.

Lacquered Stickley Queen Poster Bed - SOLD

This classically beautiful, high-end, queen-sized four poster bed has been professionally refinished.  It is one-of-a kind, and it is stunning in person.  We believe it was manufactured in the late 1980s as part of the Renaissance collection by Stickley, the fine furniture retailer.  The name Stickley was engraved on the frame. The word Renaissance was stamped.  It has been stripped, sanded, primed, and sprayed with multiple coats of a highly durable, semi-gloss lacquer finish.  The paint color is a very pale blue gray.  The bed is solidly constructed with what we believe to be cherry wood.  Included with this bed is a headboard, a foot board, two wooden side rails, and a metal frame (not pictured). A mattress and box-spring are not included.  Fully assembled, this bed measures: 63 1/4"W x 85 1/2"L x 84 1/2"H.  The height of the headboard without including the posts is 41 1/2".  The height of the foot board without including the posts is 15 1/2".  The top 17 inches of the posts can be removed for easier transport.
