White, Charcoal + Wood MCM Highboy - SOLD

One-of-a kind, redesigned, vintage highboy dresser.  Classic clean lines.  Beautiful architectural details.  Solid build.  Manufactured mid-century, circa 1964.  We selectively refinished parts of the dresser's body.  The stained drawer fronts are original.  Our painting technique involves hand-painting two coats of Benjamin Moore Advance (a highly durable, washable, premium semi-gloss paint) over two coats of BIN primer.  The four drawers are constructed with dovetail joints.  They all slide well.  For a little extra spice, we lined the drawers with a charcoal gray + white, high-end wall covering featuring monkeys swinging on vines.  This is a very versatile, statement worthy piece of furniture.  Excellent for storage in any room.  Modestly sized, it measures: 34"W x 18"D x 42 1/2"H.  It is part of a set of two dressers that can be purchased together, or separately.  Here is a link to our listing for the coordinating lowboy dresser/credenza: http://www.bostonmodernvintagefurniture.com/2014/07/white-charcoal-wood-mcm-lowboy-975.html

Reclaimed Wood Wall Shelf + Vintage Railroad Date Nail Coat Rack - $200

This wall shelf has been hand-crafted from planks of reclaimed shipping pallet wood.  Each plank was sanded, stained, and sealed in an effort to accentuate the natural beauty of the wood grain and knots.  The brackets are made from solid cast iron.  This shelf measures 10"D x 34"W.  The width is customizable.  The coat rack beneath the shelf features five steel railroad date nails of assorted numbers.  The number stamped on the nail heads indicates the year that it was made.  A "56" for example, would indicate the nail was manufactured in 1956.  Historically, nail heads were driven into railroad ties for record keeping purposes.  The shelf and the coat rack can be sold as a pair, or individually.  The shelf itself is $200. The coat rack itself is $100.  If purchased together, the ensemble is $250.
